In 2006, the MEDEX alumni community numbers just over 1300, most of whom work in the northwest region. Overall, 54% of graduates practice primary care, 30% are working in non-metropolitan areas and 42% work with the medically underserved.  Among the most recent four graduating classes, approximately 38% of those practicing clinically are in primary care, and at least 35% are providing care to the medically underserved. MEDEX graduates enjoy job satisfaction—90% indicated that ‘I am satisfied with my job as a PA’—and 65% perform volunteer work within their local communities.
