2008 Expenses

PROGRAM EXPENSES  (Based on current projections, subject to revision). Students have the primary responsibility to support themselves during training.  Expenses of the program include the following:

TUITION AND FEES
$5,070 per quarter for total of 8 quarters

The University assesses quarterly student fees of $134/qtr. and $41/qtr. Tech fee (Tech Fee not assessed for summer quarters).

Students should be prepared to travel for clerkship rotations, preceptorships and mid-year finals in Seattle

HEALTH INSURANCE
We strongly encourage everyone to have adequate health insurance. For now, please don’t drop your current coverage and you might want to explore the provisions for extending your coverage under the COBRA plan which is designed for people who are quitting their jobs but want to maintain insurance coverage. The current 2006 UW student rates listed below are expected to increase 10-15% for Fall of 2007.

Student Only: $1,536/year
Student & Spouse or Domestic Partner: $3,828/year
Student, Spouse or Domestic Partner & Children: $5,784/year
Student & Children: $3,492/year

Traditional: All single, undergraduate students without dependents (spouse or children) who are living away from parents' home; undergraduate married students without children whose spouses are also students.

Non-traditional: All graduate/professional students; undergraduates who have children; married undergraduates whose spouses are not also enrolled.
